Sketching.

Two versions of the same swampy environment, painted with a mouse because I didn't have a wacom tablet around.

Just some indian ink on sketch paper, gradient added in ps.

Tried to do some true neutral value scales last night with some acrylics using Raw umber, Ivory black and Titanium white. Decided to paint a raven skull with the paint I had left on my palette, I also added some cobalt blue to the mix to get the hue for the background and to deepen some of the blacks on the beak.

Also my scanner has a tendency to really mess up the contrast in any and all pictures I scan :/ tried to restore the contrast by playing around with the curves in PS a bit.

To study & two studies

Couple of studies I did this weekend, trying to be a bit economic with my brushes and organize my elements on seperate layers, and perhaps most importantly; not create a new layer whenever I feel like it, like I usually do :)

Trying out some new brushes I got . They've got lots of nice texture and grit to them but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to use them without having to repaint areas all the time, hehe :)
